FLOC
Charitable Fund
Serving communities in need and opening doors for the next generation of lawyers.
About the Fund
FLOC Charitable Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt California nonprofit public benefit corporation established for charitable purpose to give back to the communities we serve. The Fund works closely with the Filipino-American Lawyers of Orange County (FLOC) to channel the generosity of our legal community into direct charitable support and hands-on opportunities for students who are considering a future in the law.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide charitable services to those in need and to support educational, experience-focused opportunities for students exploring legal careers.
How Your Support is Used
The FLOC Charitable Fund will be used to provide financial support to law students who show a clear commitment to serving the Filipino American community. Funding will be distributed through merit‑ and service‑based scholarships, internship stipends, and public‑interest fellowships. These awards ensure that students can pursue leadership opportunities, community‑focused advocacy, and public interest legal work without financial barriers.
No part of the Fund’s income or assets benefits its directors or officers. Our resources go to the mission.

Our Commitment to Equity
We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in everything we do, from governance to programming. We strive to ensure that our board, volunteers, and program participants reflect the diverse communities we serve.
Accountability and Transparency
FLOC Charitable Fund is nonprofit and nonpartisan. Our board operates under formal bylaws and a conflict of interest policy that requires directors and officers to disclose potential conflicts and step aside from related decisions. Board members affirm their commitment to that policy every year.
